It seems part of human nature to attempt to classify and label in order to understand the complicated and unknown. Yet, experience has taught me that there is always something lurking deeper, beyond any formally-recognised ‘black or white’ classification.
I’ve come to understand the World and our individual lives, not as a set linear process, where milestones must be reached and successfully completed according to prescribed societal conforms. Rather, I see life as a compilation of a bunch of unique moments, each individually enjoyed, and randomly dispersed as a lasting spot in our memory, ready for us to call upon at any time. Here I draw an analogy with the reproduction of images, where the halftone process, used to bring form to the image output, is made up of tiny dots, which when viewed from a distance, form a greater optical illusion. And like our experiences of life, ultimately, it is up to the mind of the individual on how the final image is further described and interpreted.
With these words I begin this blog as part of the beginning of a fresh segment into a new journey. And, in my mélange of selected memorable moments and 'in-between' incidents, I hope to bring to life a snapshot of my embarkment and travels into this ‘new frontier’.
