Private gaze

I have just returned home from an evening at the V&A museum with one of the regular drawing groups I attend. The V&A is one of my favourite museums in London, so I was over the moon when I heard it would be our next location.

Tonight I chose to focus on the newly renovated medieval and renaissance galleries. They are filled with spectacular sculpture, fountains, tombs and the list goes on.

My eyes caught hold of two statues, situated in the first section of this gallery. It was almost like they were having a silent conversation between each other, choosing to ignore the onlookers who stare from beneath. I sketched these statues in a way that would accentuate this private stare they share.
