Increasingly I glance around and see people young and old, fixated to their smart phones, waiting for that next status update, all-important email or playing a game to help pass time. Face to face interaction is now taking place behind the security of a screen, which eases insecurities, awkwardness and provides an opt out at the touch of a button. I did this illustration, exploring how this phenomena plays out in one of the many aspects of our personal lives.
